Description of the property’s current condition and current use(s):

We're looking to build a CSA focused vegetable & fruit operation on our land with one or multiple farmers.  Individual farmers would manage their own operations and have access to the land parcels via free lease arrangement where a small percentage of net profit would be paid back to the collective.  We're excited to support small local farmers or startups, ideally individuals with CSA or farm stand experience or interest.  Contact us if interested or have a proposal!

The farmland property consists of field/pasture areas appropriate for:

  • 8 acres suitable for vegetable or fruit production
  • 17 acres suitable for vegetable/fruit production, specialty crops or small animal
  • as well as a wooded area which would be ideal for mushroom and other forest crop production

Currently the pastures are being cut for hay and are organic.  We're located near Rhinebeck, Red Hook & Kingston -- a perfect location for access to popular farmers markets and CSA stands to market farm products.  We recently purchased the property and are aiming to create a conservation focused enterprise on this stunningly beautiful land.  

We don't currently have housing on the property, but there is available rental housing very close by within walking distance.

Barns/structures description:

We would be open to constructing run in sheds or other small structures for shelter.

Farmer housing description:

There's currently no farmer housing on site, but there are a number of homes nearby that could likely be rented, within walking distance.  We're also open to building a tiny house residence on the property for a longer-term relationship.

Livestock/crops description :

We're interested in a relationships with one or multiple independent farmers to manage small operations on the land.  There's a mix of possibilities on the property including orchard and vegetable crop production.  We're also interested in growing forest crops such as mushrooms in the woodland areas.  We're seeking individuals who would be interested in managing all and would look for a profit sharing relationship so the cost of entry for the right partner would be minimal.  Contact us and we can discuss!
