The farm is already certified organic and for sale as a complete and running operation.I am selling the house ( 3BR, post and beam constuction from 1850s) 103 acres certified organic by NOFA-NY, 70-80 head of grass fed beef cattle, machinery, 3 pole type barns and my CSA and other lands rented and included in my Certified Organic plan. I have an updated grazing plan and a Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plan in hand. I rotationally graze and cut hay on this land.

Until the early 1980s this farm was harvested as an unimproved hay crop.

5 strand hi tensile on 44 acres, temporary used in some summer rotation, plus 33 more acres of hi tensile pastures on rented lands. 3 strand division fences and more fence being built in the next year.
Water access description:
Cattle barns have automatic waterers that are on a separate drilled well. This system is heated geothermally and is very low maintenance. There is another drilled well not yet in service, a separate well for the house, a pond and another pond or cistern spot.
32x60 machinery shed with 16 foot clearspan head room. 32x40calf barn 14 foot clearspan, 46x60 cattle and hay barn, concrete pad with pushwalls, indoor manure storage and room for 250 round bales.

70-80 head of hereford-angus cross cattle all grass fed on pasture or hay produced on my land. Past rotation buckwheat and oats and I've experimented with rye and barley many new hay seedings.

Preferences and restrictions on agricultural activities:
This farm is an important part of the reason for our exceptional habitat. We have northern harriers here hunting our grasslands, bob-o-links, monarch butterflies, Wilson snipe and until a couple of years ago, Hinslow sparrows. This unpolluted farm provides an ecosystem for some interesting animals. The CSA provides clean food to over 30 families and is on track to double in size, as stated in the grazing plan. I prefer that the farm stay certified organic.
