Farming Status and Plans

Farming status:

Description of farming status, plans, and practices:

We are a family that immigrates to the USA to start new life as farmers,

I worked for the last 16 years for the Department of State in Israel and my wife 16 years as a history teacher and the last 4 years as a gender and sexuality teacher from kindergarten to adult we have 2 kids, 14 and 12 years old, we are living in Goshen, NY

We have the passion for agriculture, and to educate especially kids for better healthy life.

We are looking for farmland in Orange County to establish an organic natural farm, for growing Vegetable year around in Hydroponic systems in greenhouse, in season outdoor in field rows, goats for milk and meat

Part of our Vision and Mission:

Farming is a family endeavor.

We strive to leave the land (including the agricultural infrastructure) that we manage in better condition than when we found it.

We work in partnership with nature and with our animals (for herding and harvesting crops).

We value being able to tell our customers directly about our production practices rather than following a set of government-prescribed practices.

We believe that grass-fed production is important for nutritional, ecological and economic reasons.

We value being part of a farming community – we enjoy helping other farmers (and receiving their help).

We enjoy providing food and fiber for our neighbors.

Employ people with disabilities,

Protect the environment by recycling and sustainability

Part of our plan is to establish educational center that we can invest part of our income for kids education for use of natural resources recycling, sustainability healthy life
