We are a cheesemaker / dairy farmer couple with combine 30 yrs experience, looking to start our own farmstead creamery. Open to goat or cow, depending on land suitablilty; willing to relocate to anywhere grass grows. We bring diverse experience in sustainable land and water management; dairy, meat, orchard and veg production; food processing, sales and marketing; carpentry and mechanics.
Currently working fulltime, managing a 30-cow organic dairy + creamery in MA. Could be available Spring 2017.
Description of marketing method:
Mix of direct retail, direct WS to food service and distribution, %'s depending on access to markets. Possible CSA and online sales if appropriate.

Ownership of dairy and processing operation is our primary goal. Land could be leased, purchased, or other arrangement. Possible partnership in business, but we must be able to manage operations autonomously.

I have made cheese 10+ years. Diverse experience in various scales of production,types of milk, products. Focus on high quality, European-style cheese. Manage full process from milk collection to sales. Cheeses have earned several national awards. Certified Preventative Controls Qualified Individual for FSMA compliance.
Partner has 20 years experience, including: Dairy farm management, orchard and veg production, land conservation. BS in Hydrology. Skilled carpenter, mechanic.
Both have much experience turning around troubled operations, towards health and profitability.
