Farming Status and Plans

Full time

Description of farming status, plans, and practices:

We started Old Ford Farm in New Paltz NY in 2008. We produce raw milk, veggies, eggs, pork, chicken, and turkey. We are certified by NY to sell raw milk. Our animals are all raised on pasture, and our veggies are grown organically. See our website for more on what we currently do: www.oldfordfarm.com We are looking for a new property that better fits the needs of a grass-based dairy. We would like to stay in New Paltz or a surrounding town, and would consider any property with at least 50 acres of open farmland.

Description of marketing method:

Our milk, eggs, pork, and chicken are sold out of our farm store. Veggies are sold through a CSA and turkeys are sold fresh at Thanksgiving.
