The soil types are Tuller-Brockport Complex (TvA & TvB) and mixed Silt Loams (MrC, MrB, MsD, MoD, MnB, LoB, InB, IlA, HoA, BvB) from the NRCS-Web Soil Survey. This property soils are rated by the WSS as PRIME FARMLAND or FARMLAND OF STATEWIDE IMPORTANCE.

Description of the property’s current condition and current use(s):

Property is in Schenectady County, but it is very close to the Saratoga County border. The property was used as a vegetable farm a long time ago with an apiary before Mark purchased it. Currently Mark uses the property for recreational purposes and he brushed hogs it a few times a year. Mark is looking to partner up with a farmer for a few years while he makes improvements to the property and has the intention to sell it to the farmer down the road. 

Mark would really like to give a creative beginning farmer a shot a running a business and he is willing make some improvements to the property as long as the farmer is reliable and a hard worker.

Old vegetable farm, but hasn't been used besides for recreation for quite some time now.

Equipment description:

There is currently two tractors and some tilling equipment that Mark is willing to let a farmer use.They need some work, both were running last year, but need some maintenance. Mark says a mechanically inclined person should have no trouble getting them in working shape again.
