Description of farming status, plans, and practices:

I plan to manage a small scale vegtable farm.  Growing with organic methods and focusing on sustainable agriculture.

Description of marketing method:

I will sell at farmer's markets, for the majority of my produce, leaving some potential for wholesale and CSA.

Description of livestock/crops:

I will grow a variety of crops to manage risk.  They include root vegtables, greens, eventually some fruit production from bushes and orchards, as well as limited herb and flowers both edible and decorative.

Description of tenure options desired:

I would be willing to lease or rent land.  Most interested in buying land that is a smaller size, 1-10 acres, or a larger size parcel, 10-100 with a home on it.

Experience description:

I have completed a Controlled Environment course through a non profit, Veterans to Farmers, and completed a semester long course work making me eligible for USDA infrastructure and equipment loans, (1 year experience requirement), in sustainable agriculture, through Cal Poly Pomona.  I am in my first season as a grower on leased land in Saratoga Springs.  I'm in 4 Farmers' markets, and developing the land to grow into a CSA and open more wholesale markets.
