Farming Status and Plans
Description of farming status, plans, and practices:
My Partner and I are looking for land to pursue our dream of providing food to the local community, while also educating and experimenting with effective regenerative farming practices. Our short term goal is no till vegetable production ( ~ 1 acre), within a diverse crop rotation of small grains for bread. Our long term vision includes the implementation of perennial foods, fruit and nut trees, and livestock. We truly believe that diversification is the key to a thriving farm and ecosystem.
Description of marketing method:
Our plan is to find what works best for the area. Whether that be an on site farm stand, CSA, wholesale, or farmer's markets. We are open to all options.

Bianca was born and raised in northeast Pennsylvania. She cherishes her early childhood memories helping her grandfather in his 1/4 acre vegetable garden. She then started farming during college to better understand our food system. After graduating with a Bachelor' degree in Horticulture she continued farming, working primarily with Organic vegetable row crops, but also with chickens, perennial fruits, honeybees, and industrial hemp. Her experience includes soil/plant nutritional analysis,
IPM, and data collection.
Ethan grew up working on his aunt and uncles grain and tobacco farm, which he still is actively engaged in discussing their current farming practices and what is happening in the industry. He has also helped establish operation of a large hemp farm in Central New York, including machinery operation, fertigation management, and custom equipment fabrication.
Bianca is currently working on an IPM management plan at a local hemp and vegetable farm that spans 15 acres. Ethan is currently working as a University Wood and Metal Shop technician teaching art and design students how to use fabrication equipment.
