Farming Status and Plans
Farming status:Not currently farming
Description of farming status, plans, and practices:
Trauma and Resiliency Resources, Inc, is a 501c3 public charity that provides FREE programs for active military and veterans of all eras. TRR and it's award-winning program, Warrior Camp®, needs a permanent home in NY state so that we can up our operational tempo of 2-3 programs each year to 2-3 programs each month. This will allow us to expand programming to military families and to first responders.
TRR's Warrior Camp® is a residential clinical treatment program during which we serve a plant-based, organic diet and we want to teach sustainable living through organic farming, as well as leasing 100 acres to a farmer (preferably, but not necessarily, a veteran) to support our program and their learning and livelihood. We work with horses as a central part of our treatment approach and will have 12-20 horses on property as well as other farm animals. We will build what we need on site. We are looking to lease or purchase a 100-200+ acre farm in the Hudson Valley. We will hire an experienced farm manager, a barn manager and other employees. www.trrhelp.org
